In the latter half of 2023, the boxing legacy of Fury is at stake

The Fury family is one of the most renowned in the history of boxing. In their family tree, there is a long history of professional boxers, but at present, two combatants dominate the headlines at the highest levels of the sport.

Many believe that One Fury will finish his career as the greatest and most dominant boxer of all time, as he currently holds the world heavyweight championship. The other began his professional career with a perfect record of 100 percent victories but has since signed his rights to Misfits Boxing, a sub-professional promoter that pits renowned online personalities against one another.

This year, both brothers face opponents with vastly different skill sets and reputations and must perform crucial duties.

Tommy Fury against KSI

In comparison to his elder sibling, Tyson, Tommy Fury is a very promising young boxer. In the early phases of his career, he has taken a very distinct path with his Misfits collaboration. However, his upcoming contest could be the trickiest of his influencer boxing career to date. According to the outright betting markets for Tommy Fury vs. KSI, the former is the -400 favorite to extend his winning streak in the promotion.

His opponent, KSI, is known as one of the Misfits boxing scene’s powerful heavyweights. So far, he has defeated Logan Paul, the elder sibling of Jake Paul, who earlier this year posed a formidable challenge to Fury.

It’s probable that Fury’s expertise in the ring should mean that he’s not really in any danger. In the end, his strike should be sufficient to keep the fighter from Watford at bay and enable him to dictate the distance between them.

The younger Fury sibling will likely seek to wear down his opponent early on and go for the TKO when fatigue sets in. If KSI maintains his defense and attempts to go the distance, it should be a formality for Fury to win on points.

To avoid humiliation as a long-term professional, Tommy Fury must simply maintain his dominance of the influential boxing scene. In the unlikely event that he fails to defeat KSI, the consequences would be catastrophic for his and the Fury family’s legacy.

The fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk

Tyson Fury will compete in one of the greatest boxing matches in history. On December 23rd, he and Oleksandr Usyk will presumably compete in a winner-take-all bout to determine the first-ever undisputed champion of the heavyweight division.

Similar to his sibling, Tyson will have an advantage in the competition for the same reasons. He can regulate the distance between himself and Usyk in the ring due to his height advantage. Essentially, he can avoid being subjected to pressure from repeated strikes.

Tyson is battling for enormous rewards; a victory would grant him all five championships and the undisputed title of the finest heavyweight ever. His first bout will be a warm-up bout against Francis Ngannou, which will be a routine victory due to his opponent’s lack of boxing experience.

In the latter half of 2023, the two Fury brothers will have significant responsibilities. It would be disastrous for Tommy’s career if he were to fall to an amateur combatant. Tyson, meanwhile, has the opportunity to conquer the boxing world forever if he defeats Usyk.

The Fury name is one of the most recognizable in boxing, and Tyson has the potential to make it the most recognizable in history by becoming the first undisputed five-belt champion.
