Liverpool has asked tournament organisers to investigate the incident. Eintracht Frankfurt’s sporting director claims that a Frankfurt player used German expressions equivalent to “hey” and “bro”.

Liverpool’s U18 team has been sent off the pitch twice in two days at a youth tournament in Germany after one of its players was allegedly racially abused.

the coaching staff and management decided to leave the field together after the incident was immediately reported.

In an interview with BILD, Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Timo Hardun was quoted as saying: “Like Eintracht Frankfurt, our entire NLZ is multicultural and has clear values that we live by and always demand.” While there is no racism here, we still take such accusations seriously.

Haldun claims that the Frankfurt players used the German equivalent of “alter” and “kumpel”.

He added: “We can rule out racism. This is a matter of language and we hope that we can therefore clear up any misunderstanding with the players involved and those responsible at Liverpool FC.”
